Sindoor Park

Category Recreational

Sindoor Park, developed by Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL) under the Ministry of Coal, stands as a remarkable example of ecological restoration and community transformation. What was once a swampy, unused stretch of wasteland that had gradually turned into a scrapyard has now been transformed into a thriving eco-sanctuary, where every tree symbolizes resilience and every pathway reconnects visitors with nature’s healing power.

Spread across 13 hectares, the park features beautifully landscaped Japanese gardens, a shimmering 4.2-hectare water body, dedicated children’s play zones, elegant gazebos, leafy walkways, and expansive green spaces designed to promote recreation, reflection, and well-being. More than just a recreational destination, Sindoor Park has emerged as a vibrant community asset that enriches lives and fosters environmental consciousness.

The park was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Minister of Coal and Mines on 20th June 2025, and has since become a popular attraction, welcoming around 5,000 visitors every month. Sindoor Park stands as a testament to ECL’s commitment to sustainable development, transforming neglected land into a flourishing green haven for present and future generations.
